Bouké Red & Artisanal Cheese Pairings

Bouké Red, an elegant Bordeaux-style blend, pairs well with firm-textured, mellow cheeses. Richer sheep and cow's milk cheeses are best suited to this wine. (More)

Bouké White & Artisanal Cheese Pairings

Crisp, unoaked Bouké White pairs especially well with fresh goat cheeses. Containing less fat than sheep and cow’s milk cheeses, goat cheeses have a lighter taste, and their acidity balances with that of the wine. (cont.)

French Brasserie Food and Cabernet Franc

Old fashioned, classic French dishes such as herbed roasted chicken with roasted potatoes or steak au poivre with French fries make great matches with Cabernet Franc. The wine has just the right amount of weight, tannin, acidity, fruit, earthiness and smoothness of texture to complement these familiar meals.

Italian Dishes and Cab Franc

Cabernet Franc and Snacks for this Week's Sports Events

Great choices: the NCAA Championships or Paris-Roubaix. Both are coming up this week. (Paris-Roubaix is an ultra-tough pro cycling race through cobblestone roads, and the scene of a classic movie, “A Sunday in Hell,” 1976.) Either way,  I like to watch them with a glass of wine and a bowl of snacks. That way I feel as if I’m in a box seat.

Launching Bouquet Cabernet Franc

We are very excited to be launching a new wine, Bouquet Cabernet Franc, from the superlative 2010 vintage. Medium-bodied and oaked, with fine soft tannins and balanced acidity. Aromas of cherries, back currants, raspberries, licorice and herbs. Very appealing with mild hard cheeses, Mexican, Italian, brasserie French and grilled food.
